Dear friends, family and Janet Love visitors,

Welcome to Daz’s Christmas Caribbean Diary. Several of you wanted to be able to keep up-to-date with my trip to the Caribbean over Christmas.

For those of you who don’t know, I’m lucky enough to be escaping the miserable British weather for two weeks to jet off to the Caribbean on a cruise with my parents! Armed with a digital camera, and fortunately lucky enough to have an internet cafe on board the ship, I’m going to be keeping you all up-to-date with each stop on our trip!

We leave early on Friday (19th) morning to fly to Barbados aboard Virgin Atlantic and will be returning on January 2nd on American Airlines via New York JFK – it worked out cheaper that way!

The cruise has the following itinerary:
Barbados – Tobago – Grenada – St Lucia – Antigua – Tortola – Christmas Day at sea – Nassau – Cozumel – Grand Cayman – Ocho Rios – Barbados

I hope to be able to update the diary at least once a day so keep checking back for the latest updates. Of course, I’ll be checking my email accounts regularly so if you want to send me an email then by all means, go ahead and I’ll try to reply! Alternatively, leave a comment by each diary entry!

Thank you for your continued support. Your comments about our redesign have been truly inspirational. We have, however, been noticing a drop in advertising revenue over the last few months despite a sharp INCREASE in the number of visitors to the site.

As you will appreciate, to keep sites like Janet Love and Janet Multimedia going, we need every bit of help we can get.

Despite asking for donations – and you may be skeptical about such a thing but they are actually only spent on the web hosting costs – we have NOT received any.

We have come up with a new idea which we hope will work…instead of giving donations, we believe if each time you visit Janet Love you click on one of the adverts, it will help our cause greatly. It takes a matter of seconds but can earn us several cents in the process. However, as you are probably aware, repeated clicking hinders our cause and so please only click once each time you visit the site.

That’s all we ask – it’s not that much really is it!

Fox News: The only Jackson who’s not regularly involved in a scandal is making some big plans.

I am told that Janet Jackson will headline the Super Bowl at the end of January, creating a half-time show that’s sure to set off fireworks. The deal is being put into place now.

Janet, Michael’s younger sister, has so far stayed mum about her brother’s problems. And that’s probably the way she will remain. The pop singing sensation has a new album due in March, produced by Jimmy Jam Harris and Terry Lewis, and she’s not about to let herself be dragged into Michael’s troubles.

“It’s too bad, because in 1993-94 she was just starting to do press for an album when that scandal broke,” says an insider, “and all the press would ask about is Michael. And here [we] are again.”

Janet is said to almost be done with the putting the finishing touches on the new record, which will feature some lush ballads as well as her trademark dance numbers.

Janet Love has been voted the TOP JANET SITE on the net in the Internet Music Awards 2003. It was voted as the 106th BEST music site on the web, beating our position last year of 119th. See the full top 500 list online now.

Janet Love can CONFIRM that Janet visited brother Michael on FRIDAY 21 NOVEMBER in Las Vegas. The photos thumbnails on the left show Janet returning to her hotel in the city after seeing her brother. As you can see from the photos, Janet did her best to go unseen. This once again confirms the strong bond that Janet has with her brother. Remember where you heard it first!

A brand new OFFICIAL Megamix has been released in anticipation of Janet’s new album. Simply entitled “Megamix 04”, you can download the MP3 and also download the video @ Janet Multimedia.

According to the Miss Janet International Fan Club, Janet will be in a photo studio posing for several shoots. The pictures will appear in Vanity Fair magazine, V magazine and on the new album cover. At the moment Janet is still working in the recording studio on her new album whilst preparing for her Super Bowl performance in the dance studio.

The fanclub hopes to offer lucky fans tickets to the Super Bowl and will post information in the third week of January.

Janet Love has learnt that Janet is likely to star in adverts to promote her February Superbowl performance in conjunction with AOL. The show, produced by MTV and sponsored by the world’s largest ISP, will see AOL spend between $7-$10 million on sponsorship alone.

In the past, Janet has teamed up with MSN to help promote their MSN 8 product during the All For You World Tour. Free CDs were given out at her concerts including a special edition of Windows Media Player featuring a Janet skin.
