“Just A Little While,” a new song from the highly anticipated upcoming Janet Jackson album DAMITA JO, has created a firestorm of interest, starting in the U.S. and quickly spreading throughout the world. Although not officially chosen by the record company as the first single, the unauthorized Internet download of the track has created hysteria, from radio programmers to consumers to Janet’s rabid fans. Due to the overwhelming demand and downloading of the single, the infectious song, co- written and produced by proven hitmaker Dallas Austin, will be digitally distributed to radio stations all over the world Monday February 2nd at 7 AM EST.

The song’s release comes on the heels of Janet’s triumphant return to the spotlight with her performance as the featured artist at today’s Super Bowl XXXVIII, where she headlined the spectacular halftime show.

DAMITA JO finds Janet once again working with the hitmaking production team of Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, who have produced every one of her albums since the 1986 breakthrough, Control. The new album also features writer/producers Austin (known for hits with Boyz II Men, Madonna, TLC, and many others); Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds (Toni Braxton, Aretha Franklin, Eric Clapton); Rich Harrison (whose credits include Beyonce’s “Crazy in Love” and Amerie); and hot newcomer Kanye West. DAMITA JO will be released on March 30th.

Meanwhile, according to The Drudge Report, top CBS executives approved a musical skit where Janet would expose her breast during the MTV-produced Super Bowl half-time concert.

“It decision to go forward, went to the very top of the network,” a well-placed source explained from New York. The groundbreaking scene came during the most-watched television broadcast of the year – and during the dinner hour for the nation’s west coast viewers.

In a press release before Sunday’s game, MTV promised “Janet’s Shocking Moments.”

“I’ll get you naked by the end of this song,” sang Justin, moments before he ripped off Janet’s top, exposing a bare breast – the nipple covered by a tassel.

CBS’s main New York switchboard was immediately bombarded with complaints about the stunt, netowrk sources said late Sunday.

Janet attended a party last night at Regal Ranch in order to celebrate the Super Bowl. She was at the Maxim hosted party, Circus Maximus, with her boyfriend Jermaine Dupri.

Entertainment Tonight aired a short clip of interview with Janet talking about the Super Bowl and then played an advert for Monday’s edition showing Janet styled as Lena Horne (as seen in the photos above). Janet then gets into full swing with a short rendition of one of her hits, All For You. Then P. Diddy and Nelly come on stage to perform followed closely by Kid Rock.

Janet then returns to the stage to sing Rhythm Nation and The Knowledge, similar to the All For You Tour, when afterwards, none other than…

JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE

…appears from under the stage and the beginning of Rock Your Body (similar to his Justified tour) begins. Justin sings while Janet dances around the stage with him. There are multiple pyrotechnics and the show closes.
