In an interview with SOHH, Syience, dubbed as the hottest new producer on the block, has confirmed that he is working with Janet on her new album. No official announcements have been made about the new project or possible release dates.
According to VH1.com, Janet will appear in an upcoming episode of the Tyra Banks show on Wednesday July 11th.
Tyra invites a woman to her show who says that her love for Janet Jackson gave her the strength to live when she was on the brink of death. While performing her favorite Janet song for the audience, she becomes speechless when Janet herself surprises her on stage.
According to the Miami Herald, Janet dined with LA Reid at Table 8 in South Beach in Miami on Friday night. They apparently ate grouper and snapper and drank a $700 bottle of wine.
In an interview with OK! Magazine, Jermaine Dupri is quoted as saying that him and Janet will definitely be having kids at some point in the future. He also confirmed that Janet is recording a new album.
“As soon as she finishes her new album. She started in June and she’s working on it right now. Once the album and tours are done and all that’s settled down, it’ll happen somewhere around then.”
According to the Miami Herald, Janet is recording a new album with executive producer LA Reid in Miami for the next three months.
Janet Jackson and a group of male and female friends–no sign of boyfriend Jermaine Dupri—slipped in the back door of Prive Saturday night for promoter Justin Levine’s Empire Events party. Holding court in Prive’s hip hop section, Ms. Jackson, clad in head to toe form fitting white pants, shirt and shoes showed off her svelte figure while sipping red wine and grooving to hits by Diddy, Jay-Z and a vintage Jackson 5 remix. Jackson is down here with record exec LA Reid for the next three months recording her new album at Circle House Studios. Boyfriend Dupri is also in on the production.
Janet’s boyfriend, Jermaine, has posted a new message from London to his MySpace friends. In it, he says that he has had the best time he has ever had in London and talks about how this time he has really seen what the city is about.

Janet appears on the cover of this week’s Us Weekly magazine. In an accompanying interview, Janet talks about how she managed to remain slim after losing the pounds about a year ago. The issue is on news stands in the US now.
On keeping the weight off: “I have a great support system to keep me on track… But I still don’t like working out. It’s hard for me. I have to push myself to want to do it.”
On the fear of packing on the pounds again:“I have moments—I crave chocolate, or just want to eat. One thing that helps is getting my clothes altered to fit so I can tell when I gain or lose. I used to wear overalls all the time, and my mom said, ‘Baby, don’t do that or you won’t know how much you lose.’”
On how you can look like her: “If I can do it, anybody can do it. Eating light and clean helps, but you really shouldn’t think of it as a diet, otherwise you feel like you’re depriving yourself. If you crave something, you should have a little bit of it, then let it go and move on. Do a little exercise so you’re back on track.”
On eating right: “It’s about control and it’s a balanced diet. Of course I have cheat days! Especially with my dancers, who love to eat. And after a hard day of work, they want to unwind and grab a drink, and alcohol is not good for my diet with all the extra calories. I try to have a glass of wine, but then somebody comes with a lemon drop and it’s so good. You feel like you’re drinking cough syrup or candy, and before you know it, the next day comes and you feel it. I make up for it with a few more reps when I lift weights.”
Janet’s brother Michael has this evening jetted into London’s Heathrow. It is believed to be one of the first times that both Jackson siblings have been in the British capital at the same time. Michael is believed to be meeting record execs and good friend David Gest. It is unknown whether he and Janet will see each other.
Meanwhile, Janet was pictured out and about in Central London again today. Wearing a green hooded top this time and some bizarre white shoes, Janet left her hotel by the trade entrance.
Last night Janet dined at Mayfair eatery Nobu in London. Accompanied by boyfriend Jermaine Dupri, upon leaving Janet was whisked into a Bentley and driven a matter of a few hundred yards to her hotel, The Dorchester. She went back into the hotel through the trade entrance to avoid the accompanying paparazzi. She then went on to the Kabaret Club on Beak Street in Soho where she was pictured in the first of the set below. According to thelondonpaper, “the DJ [at the club] played her songs, dedicated a number of tracks to her and Jermaine and a star-struck England cricket star Kevin Pietersen went up and meekly asked for an introduction. But while her friends were knocking back Dom Perignon and dancing in the pumping club, Janet just sipped her cocktail in the corner.”
Janet spent much of yesterday shopping at her favourite shops in Central London. Dressed in a Superdry Real Athletics hooded top (a UK brand), a bandanna, Chanel sunglasses and a black tracksuit, Janet visited Harvey Nichols and splashed her cash.
