Janet has postponed her “Rock Witchu Tour” in Japan next month because of the global financial crisis.

Japan concert organizer Kyodo Yokohama said today that she would postpone five concerts in Japan scheduled between February 14th and February 22nd “due to the impact of economic crisis.”

Janet was due to perform at Saitama, near Tokyo, as well as in other major cities, including Nagoya, Osaka and Fukuoka.

The tour will be rescheduled for later this year. New dates are expected to be announced in late March, Yokohama said.

It has been announced on Janet’s fanclub website that all the dates postponed as a result of Janet’s illness will not be rescheduled “due to conflicts with the singer’s schedule”.
