Janet held a book signing yesterday in New York City.
She signed copies of her New York Times No. 1 bestseller “True You: A Guide to Finding and Loving Yourself” at Barnes & Noble in New York City.
Janet will also make a rare appearance to sign books at Los Angeles’ Book Soup on April 15.
Janet’s upcoming show at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Los Angeles has sold out in just 10 minutes prompting organisers to add another date.
A second show has been added on April 15th due to the phenomenal demand for the concert.
Further shows have also been added in New York, Washington and Toronto.
In a new interview with Deborah Vankin from the LA Times, Janet has spoken of her upcoming tour as well as her plans to record a new album in 2011.
Janet speaks of how she recently performed at a private gig at Radio City Music Hall and she enjoyed the intimacy of the show and hopes to translate that to her upcoming tour.

A YouTube video has been posted of Janet on the set of her new movie, For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When The Rainbow Is Enuf.
In the scene, Phylicia Rashad is seen yelling to a window as a man holds his two children out of the window.
The film is currently being shot in New York City.
Several reports are circulating that Janet will perform a tribute to brother Michael at this weekend’s Video Music Awards.
Choreographer Wade Robson posted a bulletin to his MySpace page which said:
“WADE ROBSON, MIA MICHAELS, BRIAN FRIEDMAN, CRIS JUDD, TRAVIS PAYNE, TINA LANDON, DAVE SCOTT, TYCE DIORIO, JERRY SLAUGHTER, LAURIE ANN GIBSON & GIL DULDULAO ARE PERFORMING WITH JANET JACKSON ON THE MTV VMA AWARDS ON SEPTEMBER 13TH IN TRIBUTE TO MICHAEL JACKSON.”
TMZ is also reporting the story, saying:
Janet Jackson has been busting her butt rehearsing for a Michael Jackson tribute at the MTV Video Awards this weekend — and it promises to be a nipple-free affair. We think.
Ms. Jackson is set to put on a huge MJ-honoring performance featuring 20 backup dancers — which is being put together by some of the best choreographers in the world, including Frank Gatson and Travis Payne.
According to Kryiss Grant, one of the dancers involved (who was also an usher at MJ’s burial), some rehearsals have lasted 15 hours a day.
Once Janet is finished honoring her brother, Grant tells us “there won’t be a dry eye in the house.”
The VMAs air on MTV in the US at 9PM ET this Sunday, September 13th.

It has been announced on Janet’s fanclub website that all the dates postponed as a result of Janet’s illness will not be rescheduled “due to conflicts with the singer’s schedule”.
