Janet’s official website, JanetJackson.com, relaunched last night to reveal a redesigned site featuring a biography, a discography which incorporates many of Janet’s music videos, photographs, information about the causes Janet supports and an online store.
It also features links to social networking sites include Facebook, Twitter and a revamped MySpace page.
In an updated biography, the website reveals more information about some of Janet’s upcoming projects:
Later this year, Janet will publish her first book, providing an intimate look at her life and how she has dealt with issues of self-esteem. Janet will reveal aspects not known before about her uniquely successful career not only in music but in television and motion pictures.
The next months and new year will also bring another film starring Janet as she joins Tyler Perry in his sequel, Why Did I Get Married Too, followed by a new album slated to released during the first quarter of 2010.
A previously unheard Janet song recorded around the time of Rhythm Nation has been leaked. Work found its way to the internet alongside several previously unheard Michael Jackson songs on producer Bryan Loren’s MySpace page.
Bryan writes on his MySpace page:
“‘Work’ is a track that Janet did not use on ‘Rhythm Nation’. I produced and performed the track, and co-wrote with Janet. The two of us are doing the background vocals. Imagine a coal mine/construction site. Yeah, that’s it.”
You can download a re-mastered version of the track here for a limited time only. Thanks to Effrem Adams.
In a message posted on Janet’s MySpace page this morning, a new competition was announced:
Give Me Your FEEDBACK and Win!
I want your Feedback! Create a video of you (by yourself, or with friends) performing a dance routine to “Feedback” and post it to my YouTube channel.
This contest is about art, and there are no losers in art, so winners will be chosen at random, but you do need to enter to win.
4 lucky winners will receive an iPod pre-loaded with my new album Discipline and the videos for “Feedback” and “Rock With U”.
Enter today at YouTube.com/JanetJackson
All entries must be received by April 12th.
Love,
Janet
A new promotional video has been posted on Janet’s official MySpace page to celebrate Discipline hitting the top of the charts in the United States. Watch it below.
