Janet announces third leg to North America tour

Janet has announced a third leg to her North American tour, adding 22 more dates to her current line up.

The new leg starts in Concord, CA on May 19th, just a few days after Janet’s 50th birthday and continues throughout May and June with dates in both the USA and Canada. A new date has also been added to the second leg of the tour in Hartford, CT.

American Express® Card Members and fans who pre-order the album can purchase tickets before the general public beginning Monday, Sept. 14 at 10:00 a.m. local through Friday, Sept. 18 at 10:00 p.m. local. Fans who pre-order the album before Friday, Sept. 18 at 10:00 p.m. can buy tickets early at JanetJackson.com. Tickets for the general public go on sale on Saturday, Sept. 19 at JanetJackson.com.

There has still been no confirmation of an European leg to the tour.

All postponed concerts cancelled

It has been announced on Janet’s fanclub website that all the dates postponed as a result of Janet’s illness will not be rescheduled “due to conflicts with the singer’s schedule”.

The dates affected are as follows:

Janet taken ill; postpones shows

Janet was taken ill prior to her Montreal concert and went to Royal Victoria Hospital. It saw her Montreal, Boston and Philadelphia shows postponed.  The tour will resume on October 4th in Greensboro.

N.B. Darren (the webmaster) is currently travelling around the U.S. so has been unable to update the website as often as he would like. Apologies for this.

Furthermore, Darren will be at the New York and East Rutherford shows so if you’re going to be there, drop a message via Darren’s Janet Fans profile.

First set of tour dates announced

In an official press release, five tour dates have been confirmed for Janet’s upcoming Rock Witchu Tour. As well of Vancouver, the tour will also visit Montreal, Toronto, Washington (DC) and East Rutherford.

It also states that Janet’s fanclub will be launching its site on May 28th which will allow fans to buy tickets in advance before the official release date of June 7th, when tickets will be available on LiveNation.com. Tickets will also be on sale in advance to Citi cardmembers on June 2nd at www.privatepass.citi.com. More cities and dates will be released soon, so keep checking back on Janet Love.

Janet Jackson Announces Rock Witchu Tour
