Janet will appear in an ABC special to air on November 18th.
In the Spotlight with Robin Roberts: Janet Jackson, will do a sit-down interview with Robin Roberts which will air in the U.S. at 10:00/9:00c.
It will be her first in-depth television interview since the death of her brother Michael in June this year.

At last night’s premiere of the film “This Is It” in London, Darren from Janet Love was lucky enough to grab a few minutes with dancer Brian Friedman in which we asked him what it was like to work with Janet on her recent tribute at the MTV Video Music Awards.
Brian Friedman, who was wearing his Louboutin shoes from the performance, said: “I owe every ounce of me being in this world to Michael, Janet and those people I looked up to when I was a kid.” He added, “Dancing for Janet is incredible, her work ethic [and] how she treats the people around her.”
It was announced this morning that Janet is confirmed to perform at Capital FM’s Jingle Bell Ball in London on December 6th, 2009.
The station are also saying that “her performance may just hold a surprise or two!”
The event is being hosted over two nights at London’s O2 Arena, where Janet’s brother Michael was set to perform a string of concerts.
Other artists confirmed to perform on the second night include Ne-Yo, Shakira, JLS and Dizzee Rascal.
It will be Janet’s first public performance in the UK since she appeared on Top of the Pops in 2004.
Tickets for the event sold out in less than an hour, but listeners will be given the chance to win tickets over the course of the next few weeks.

In a behind-the-scenes documentary, due to air tomorrow on MTV, Janet says that her Video Music Awards performance was the most fun she’d ever had putting together a project for television.
She said: “This is the most fun – from my mouth to God’s ears – the most fun I have ever had working on a project for TV.
“It’s a lot of hard work. But I always enjoy myself. I try to enjoy myself, have fun. I enjoyed myself from day one all the way to the end.”
Speaking to MTV during rehearsals for the show, Janet said: “I just wanted to come to rehearsal when I’m supposed to come to rehearsal as if I’m one of the kids. Just let me know when and where, and where I stand, and teach me what what I’m supposed to know. I wanted it to be that for me this time around. I wanted it to be like that this time, even though I got a little more involved than that still, but not to the magnitude that I normally get involved.”

A new photo of a rehearsal for tonight’s MTV VMA performance has leaked onto the internet.
In it, the large screen shows Michael Jackson dancing to “Scream”.
The photo was posted to Twitter user ijustine’s page.
Janet has opened up for the first time since the death of brother Michael to Harper’s Bazaar.
In the interview, which is accompanied by new photos, Janet speaks of her decision not to watch television or read a newspaper since her brother’s death.
In the article, she also confirms she has split from long-term boyfriend Jermaine Dupri as well as the title of her new book True You.

Several reports are circulating that Janet will perform a tribute to brother Michael at this weekend’s Video Music Awards.
Choreographer Wade Robson posted a bulletin to his MySpace page which said:
“WADE ROBSON, MIA MICHAELS, BRIAN FRIEDMAN, CRIS JUDD, TRAVIS PAYNE, TINA LANDON, DAVE SCOTT, TYCE DIORIO, JERRY SLAUGHTER, LAURIE ANN GIBSON & GIL DULDULAO ARE PERFORMING WITH JANET JACKSON ON THE MTV VMA AWARDS ON SEPTEMBER 13TH IN TRIBUTE TO MICHAEL JACKSON.”
TMZ is also reporting the story, saying:
Janet Jackson has been busting her butt rehearsing for a Michael Jackson tribute at the MTV Video Awards this weekend — and it promises to be a nipple-free affair. We think.
Ms. Jackson is set to put on a huge MJ-honoring performance featuring 20 backup dancers — which is being put together by some of the best choreographers in the world, including Frank Gatson and Travis Payne.
According to Kryiss Grant, one of the dancers involved (who was also an usher at MJ’s burial), some rehearsals have lasted 15 hours a day.
Once Janet is finished honoring her brother, Grant tells us “there won’t be a dry eye in the house.”
The VMAs air on MTV in the US at 9PM ET this Sunday, September 13th.
Janet sat in the front row at last night’s farewell to brother Michael Jackson. The King of Pop was buried at Forest Lawn Memorial Park & Mortuary in Glendale, California.
Following the ceremony, the Jackson family released a statement with their thanks to the pop star’s fans.
After the ceremony the family released a statement: “The Jackson Family wishes to once again thank all of Michael’s fans around the world for their generous outpouring of support during this terribly difficult time. Their expressions of love for Michael and his music have sustained the Jackson Family.”
Janet also recently tweeted on her Twitter page: “I love you, Mike, and I miss you. Dunk.”
Janet is being lined up to appear at the 2009 MOBO Awards in the UK in the coming weeks, according to a report published in today’s Sunday Mail.
The show, which is to be held outside London for the first time this year on September 30th, will take place in Glasgow and feature numerous tributes to Michael Jackson.
A spokesperson for the show said: “Janet is a music icon in her own right and a previous MOBO presenter.
“We loved her past involvement with the show and MOBO will continue to support her music and champion her career.”
Janet Love understands that at the moment Janet is only expected to appear and not perform.
Janet has previously appeared at the 2004 MOBO Awards at the Royal Albert Hall in London where she received the Icon Hall of Fame award and presented a special award to Anita Baker.
Janet Love has spoken directly to Janet’s official representative Patti Webster asking whether the recent report on MSNBC.com which suggested a “rep” for Janet had spoken to the site – and denied rumours that she would not perform at the O2 in London – was true.
In a short written statement to Janet Love, Patti Webster confirmed:
“None of Janet’s reps have announced anything [regarding an appearance by Janet at the O2]“.
It is not uncommon for some media organisations to simply quote a “rep” or “friend” without using their name when a story has been fabricated.
Janet Love will of course bring you any announcement should one be made regarding Janet’s appearance at any Michael Jackson tribute shows in London.
In an interview with France 2, a French television channel, Jermaine Jackson has given the strongest hint yet that Janet will appear alongside her brothers in a show at London’s O2 Arena on 29th August to celebrate the life of Michael Jackson.
He said: “There has been talk that we are going to do something at the O2 on the 29th with my brothers and also Janet.
“But just know this: there will be never be another Jackson 5.
“We’ll be just The Jacksons, because I feel that Michael played a very, very important part in the Jackson 5 and to do that would not be fair to him. We will tour and he will be with us always.”

A previously unheard Janet song recorded around the time of Rhythm Nation has been leaked. Work found its way to the internet alongside several previously unheard Michael Jackson songs on producer Bryan Loren’s MySpace page.
Bryan writes on his MySpace page:
“‘Work’ is a track that Janet did not use on ‘Rhythm Nation’. I produced and performed the track, and co-wrote with Janet. The two of us are doing the background vocals. Imagine a coal mine/construction site. Yeah, that’s it.”

After attending the memorial service at the Staples Center on Tuesday, Janet and her sisters La Toya and Rebbie gave short speeches to the crowd of fans gathered in the nearby Nokia Theatre.
