As previously reported by Janet Love, Janet will perform on X Factor on Sunday December 6th in her only UK television performance of the year.
In a press release by programme makers, they confirmed that Janet will appear in the semi-final.

ON SUNDAY 6th DECEMBER
As this years The X Factor reaches its penultimate show, Janet Jackson and Lady Gaga have confirmed that they are to perform live on Sunday 6th December. The X Factor will be showcasing Janet Jackson’s only UK TV performance of 2009, drawn from her recently released greatest hits compilation The Best. Lady Gaga will be performing her latest hit single, Bad Romance, for the first time ever on UK television.
Janet Jackson has been topping charts since signing her first record deal in 1982. She has sold more than 100 million records worldwide and is the only artist in US chart history to boast seven top 5 hits from a single album. She has accumulated five Grammys so far, as well as multiple MTV Awards, Billboard Music Awards, and Soul Train Music Awards.
Lady Gaga’s debut single Just Dance became the first new number one of 2009 in the UK and US, kick-starting the undisputed pop phenomenon of the year. Her debut album The Fame, recently revamped as The Fame Monster, has sold more than 4 million copies worldwide, including 1 million in the UK, making it this country’s biggest selling debut album of the year. It has spawned five hit singles, including Poker Face, Paparazzi and now Bad Romance, which between them have sold more than 25 million copies worldwide. Her whirlwind year has seen Lady Gaga nominated for more than 60 awards.
